Well I finally broke down and ordered some Taliban for Force on Force. After my last experience with over a month wait for minis from SyrHobbs Wargames (without any word) I was a little hesitant to order. Then the Hobby Den (www.thehobbyden.com) posted on the AAG forum that they had just gotten in the full Afghan range from Brittania miniatures. After looking at a few of the sculpts I knew I wanted to get a couple dozen, so I placed an order. That night I got a message saying they were packed and would ship the next morning! Talk about amazing service! They may even beat me back to Charleston!
Here’s a list of what I picked up:
3 x figures with RPG 7’s
6 x figures running with AK47’s
6 x figures advancing with AK47’s
3 x Figures firing AK 47
3 man Afghan HMG kneeling firing
3 man 81mm mortar firing
3 x Figures advancing / Firing rifles
2 x Motorcycle with 2 afghans and LMG + RPG
3 figs advancing/firing RPK LMG’s
So I ought to be in pretty good stead to start running some smaller Afghanistan games! My excitement for the new hadji’s aside, Christmas break is drawing to a close, and it has been tremendously productive as far as painting goes. I’m going to be uploading some pictures in the next few days of my most productive projects including:
- 20mm African Militia
- 28mm War of the Roses
- 20mm USMC for Afghanistan
- 15mm USMC for Vietnam
- 15mm WWI Russians
- 15mm WWI Poles
